They like to be pot bound but they also have to be fed. There are a number of African violet foods on the market. They like indirect, but fairly bright light. A north window is perfect. show off.... generally a plant will only grow as large as the pot will allow... leaning over, to me, indicates that it is growing too fast. lighten up on the fertilizer and it might slow down growing and settle down into itself....

have you tried fertilizing with a african violet food? It is worth the cost to buy the special stuff, mine bloomed shortly after. Read the instructions carefully though because you can over do it which will cause it to only produce leaves and not flowers....
